We all use Microsoft Word, but how many of you actually using it to the full potential?

Yes What I mean by this is use it as a blogging tool – the best blogging tool you’ve already had, just the matter of fact to re-discover it.

How many times we are editing our blog post behind the admin page, debugging HTML code. This is a real pain in the ass. Thankfully we got some third party application that will help use to do blogging easier. But are those really useful? Lifehacker posted this post Desktop Blogging editor comparison way back in 2006, to my surprise they didn’t even including the most common word process – MS Word. I have personally tried two of the tool they mentioned, none are good at all, and often they are crappy, unpredictable bugs are everywhere.

Microsoft once said they want to make Word the ultimate word process tool, whenever you want to write something use Word. Web has changed the way we live, more and more people start blogging, often they use the web based UI to do editing. This is slow and painful; sometimes you will not get what you see, and for some who don’t understand HTML tags is even a greater changeling.

This is exactly what I’ve felt today, using WordPress Admin page the tiny screen to do editing? That will put you into nuts. Since none of those desktop blogging editors IMO works so why not give a try with your favor word editor MS Word.

To begin:

Under the Publish -> Blog

In this case I’ve already created an account so by default it shows my WebLog name. Let’s add another account by clicking the Manage Account icon.

After you will see this dialog

Let’s add a new account. Click “New

Choose your blogging service, this case we are using the word most popular blogging engine – WordPress and Click Next after

Now enter your blog post URL, if your WordPress is installed at the root of your website then at the end of your “http://myblog.com/” add xmlrpc.php

If you have your blog setup like myblog.com/blog than add xmlrpc.php after the blog

Enter your WordPress UserName and Password

With any luck you should see this J

Now you are ready and all set to go.

Here we see I’ve add a new account another website using WordPress

Enjoy, hope this tip will help you, If you have any question be sure to leave a comment below or send me a message on twitter @windows7hacker
