A Bit Tired of All Leaked Windows 7 RTM Version Rumors
Here is the latest update on Windows 7 RTM on Windows Team Blog, which states pretty clear that
Over the past week, there have been many rumors surrounding RTM.
We are close, but have not yet signed off on Windows 7. When we RTM you will most certainly hear it here. As we’ve said all along, we will RTM Windows 7 when it’s ready. As previously stated, we expect Windows 7 to RTM in the 2nd half of July.
It’s the 2nd half of July, not July 13 from the previous rumors, that Windows 7 RTM will be released. We are only one week or two away, so why bother interesting in any of the leak version now, and what’s the point and benefit can you get from it? Stop wasting your time downloading any of the copies that are rumored version. That’s simply because:
There are many bogus copies of Windows 7 floating around the Internet. More often than not, they contain a rather nice malware payload. And don’t believe everything you read on the Internet. When Windows 7 hits RTM, it will be announced here. Until that happens, any builds you are likely to see on the web are either not the final bits or are laced with malicious code.
Yes, read it closely. “DON’T Believer everything you read on Internet”, and yes, that includes here.
Always trust what’s said on the official site or at least on the authority site that has earned your trust. Up until then, just enjoy the current free RC version because it won’t be free when it’s officially released.
To be clear, here is the screenshot of what’s in my Technet Subscription Download as of now, which confirms that RTM is still in process.
And again, check the official Windows 7 website or Windows Team Blog for the official announcement of Windows 7 RTM.
