Interesting, you may wonder why someone hates Microsoft so much that they want to register domain names like these to against them. So let’s see who registered these two names.

You read it right. It’s Microsoft that registered them itself. And yes, they want to play safe. Are they the only one playing the same game? Not exactly. At least, Google tries to protect itself in the same way.

However, Windows7Sucks.com wasn’t registered under Microsoft, but by CSC Corp. located in Canada.

Being an iPhone fan, I went ahead and also checked if iPhoneSucks.com was under Apple’s hood. Unfortunately, NO, someone uses that domain selling non-iPhone mobile phones. But it’s too late for Apple to take the name back.

I hope this doesn't come as a huge surprise…companies do this all the time to protect themselves, it's pretty much nothing new – I've seen companies doing this ever since you could register domain names. ;)

Agree. It didn't come as a surprise at all but felt still quite interesting. It's just a game that actually is never going to end if you look that way. How many stuff like these that you can actually protect? :)

    Cheers.
