IE 6 is Probably the First Software Piece that Got a Formal Funeral both in Real and Virtual World
Internet Explorer 6, probably the oldest piece of software that still serves many people in the field, finally was announced its death on March 1st.
Internet Explorer Six, resident of the interwebs for over 8 years, died the morning of March 1, 2010 in Mountain View, California, as a result of a workplace injury sustained at the headquarters of Google, Inc. Internet Explorer Six, known to friends and family as "IE6," is survived by son Internet Explorer Seven, and grand-daughter Internet Explorer Eight.
And Microsoft, the father of IE, also sent the flowers to the funeral that speaks quite clear that it’s time to move on and it’s time for IE 6 to rest.
So to avoid troubling yourself by encountering a ghost from your computer while surfing the internet, do yourself a favor, upgrade your IE to the latest IE 8, or completely move away from it by introducing a different browser.

Google can do or say whatever they want, we have about 9000 desktops in our corporation that are still running IE6.0 , I guess until we complete our desktop upgrade (scheduled for early 2011) , Google will have about 9000 less visitors
What a bunch of crap.
