About Us
Welcome to Windows7Hacker.com (W7H), a place that mostly focuses on the impressive new desktop operating system from Microsoft, Windows 7, and much more related technology stuff.
Who Are We?
The site was created by Kent Chen, a computer veteran who has been on the field for many years, and Jonathan Hu, a SFU student majoring in computer science and a cool geek who loves iPhone/iPod touch.
We are not the hackers who want to hack the Windows 7. Instead, we both are the geeks who want to share the hacks we discovered in Windows 7.
What’s Our Mission?
We truly believe the big 7 will be the next big thing in personal computer industry, and because of that, we want to share what we know, what we learn, and what we find with all of you and hope you can learn a piece or two information from here, and benefit from it. We will be very pleased if we can archive this goal in some way at some degree.
We Hear What Community Says
We will be trying our best sharing as much as we can but we also understand such a thing like this can’t be done by a small group like us. Without the support from the community we are going no where. So feel feel to leave any comments to the posts you are interested or have the different opinion. We listen very carefully to what community says. You can also email us if you want to have a more private conversation.
Any sorts of communication are very much welcomed. And response is 100% guaranteed, no matter what.
If You Are An Advertiser
And are interested in advertising here on W7H, we do have a few options for you. Please check our advertise page for more detail information.
If You Are A Software Vendor or Developer
And wish to get more exposure to our readers, feel free to submit your software to info@windows7hacker.com. We will test out the software in our own lab and have the honest review published on W7H within a short period of time.
That’s about it for now. Enjoy!!

hello i bought a pavilion 1 week ago..and i want to know if can i use or have sticky notes, because i have Windows 7 Home Basic… if i can't..where can i downloaded??..
I believe you can. Native sticky notes should be available in all editions. Besides, you can always try this alternative if you like.

hello i run a small computer lab i installed windows7 on 1 computer sort of a test run to see how it runs i am having a problem which is , each time a student logs on it takes too long for them to log in to the computer last time a student tried it took nearly 10 minutes is there any way to speed up the process that creates the student profile
It depends on a lot of things and hard to tell without knowing more how your lab is set up. Do you have an AD on your lab?
You can further discuss this problem via email info at windows7hacker.com

I saw your web page about the “Windows Explorer is not Responding” problem. I took your advice and recorded until the problem occurred. I have a 4.29 Mb zip file ready to send to you as you indicated. Now, how do I send it to you?
Thanks, Dave Roper
you can send email to us as an attachments. The email address is info@windows7hacker.com
cheers
I sent the file. Did you get it?
Dave
no we didn't receive your email.
I sent it again. Maybe it is too large for an attachment. I also put it on a server so that you can download it: http://www.roperld.com/WindowsExplorerNotRespon...
Please let me know when you have downloaded it, so that I can remove it from the server.
Disqus,
I have service set to only Microsoft service and only Microsoft Essentials and Microsoft Office 2010 in the startup, and the problem still occurs. Could the beta MS Office 2010 be causing the problem?

Have a question if I may. I have a laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate. The laptop is wireless. My Desktop is running XP Professional and is wired to the same router. I am having a problem networking the two machines. I have changed firewall settings opened port 8081 and 8888.I have tried both as home and working group. Still no luck. I'm sure I am missing something simple but, haven't figured out what. Any ideas? Thanks in advance..
I don't think you need to open any ports on the firewall settings. but what you do need is to turn on network discovery and file sharing on Windows 7 to allow XP to access. Please refer this post from the How-To Geek for more information.
